Hydrocyclone

Hydrocyclone, simply as cyclone, is a high efficiency separation equipment that applies centrifugal force for flowing liquid mixture to promote the separation of solid and liquid components. Hydrocyclones are widely used to sand,  non-metallic mineral, metallic mineral, coal, clay, etc.

hydrocyclone

Hydrocyclone is a device to classify, separate, sort or concentrate particles in a liquid suspension based on the ratio of their centripetal force to fluid resistance. When the two-phase mixture to be separated is tangentially pumped into cyclone from a periphery of cyclone at a certain pressure, a strong three-dimensional elliptical strong rotational shear turbulent motion is generated. Due to the difference in particle size between the coarse particles and fine particles, they are subjected to centrifugal force, centripetal buoyancy, fluid drag. Under the centrifugal sedimentation, most of the coarse particles are discharged through the bottom outlet of the cyclone, and most of the fine particles are The overflow pipe is discharged to achieve the purpose of separation and classification.

Working principle

The principle of hydrocyclone is that introduction of fluids into the sand-removing cyclones conical shell with tangential direction, then gravity will push solid-phase to the surface of the vertebral body, and running down the surface to the separator drain port. In the secondary liquid cyclone separator shell function, the upward motion of liquid force, ultimately through the vortex detector discharged from the discharge manifolds. The smaller the aperture size of sand-removing cyclones, the greater the separation of its role, thereby it can successfully separate the solid particle size smaller.
